Knitting Bag

Knitting bags are used to take a project from place to place and to keep it contained.  A good knitting bag will have a large enough pocket for the project itself, but will also have a couple of smaller pockets for needles, notebooks, and other accessories.

A knitting bag can be a tote, a messenger-style bag, a basket, etc. There are many patterns and colors to choose from so it’s easy for a knitter to express her style. Pouch style bags work well because they can be cinched down at the top, keeping the yarn coming out in a single strand as the knitting progresses.

Besides a knitting bag, many knitters will find a needle case helpful too. Needle cases organize the needles by size and shape; many even have places for circular needles. Ideally the needle case should be small enough to fit within the knitting bag. Keeping projects together and organized will make knitting more fun and keep tangles and other hassles at bay.
