Overshot style stole thing

I'm not sure what this is going to turn out to be yet. I hope that when it's washed it will be soft enough to be a stole. The pattern yarn is a marled teal wool and the warp/binder thread is a 20/2 cotton. I've had to take my time with this one as it is very fine and takes many shots per inch (about 36 per inch). I would really like to get this finished and off the loom so I can do something else, but my knees protest if I do too much in a day.

Silk stole

Hand spun two ply yarn space dyed with the same dye as the handspun sweater. The silk show a lighter color when dyed. It is woven in a plain weave, then pressed hard to finish.

Three stoles, one warp

Woven on my LeClerc Fanny loom. It is made of Henry's attic Prime Alpaca. The dark color is a natural Charcoal, and the blue I dyed myself with Cushing's Perfection Dye, color Copenhagen blue. The threading is from an issue of Handwoven Magazine March April 2001 pg 46, but I treadled 1,2,3,4 to create the twill look. This stole has been steam pressed.

Here is the second stole from the warp. The purple is Cushing's Red Grape. I treadled this1,2,1,4,3,4. Also steam pressed.

Here is the third stole from this warp. It was woven as shown in the magazine pattern. The red color is a Cushing Dye, color Cardinal. The red color doesn't show enough contrast with the charcoal, but you can kind of see how complex this pattern looks-- only 4 harnesses! I'm going to weave this again sometime with mercerized cotton of more contrasting colors. This stole was left fuzzy.
