Bunny Quilt
I made this quilt for a little girl who loves--guess what-- bunnies!
I used the pattern Grandma's Bunnies by Darcy Ashton. All the fabrics
in this quilt (except the backing) is hand dyed by me. The eyes were made
by sewing an eyelet (my computer has it programed in) and then freehanding
the outer shape of the eye. I used Steam a seam 2 lite fusible web to
apply the bunnies to the background. It worked fine for the sewing, but
it feels stiffer than I would like. Also, the bond is not as permanent
as I thought it would be. After washing the quilt the first time, I had
to sew a outline around the bunnies to make sure they wouldn't come up.
Another comment-- my daughter thinks the cotton batting is too stiff.
I assured her that it would soften up with use, but she doesn't believe
me. Next time I'll use the poly batting for her blankets.

Here is a completed quilt I made out of hand-dyed
and commercially dyed batik with a gold veining. The pattern is from Quilter's
Newsletter magazine. I changed the sequence of colors, but otherwise followed
the pattern. It is actually made up of 2" squares, artfully arranged.
I quilted in straight vertical and horizontal lines, since the focus in
this quilt is on color sequence. The back and binding is commercially
printed blue fabric with stars on it. Unfortunately, I don't think the
commercial white fabric is going to hold up as long as the hand-dyed stuff.
I'll have to check relative weights of the fabrics more carefully next
time.

Ping An Quilt
I made this quilt from a design in Quilter's Newsletter called Ping An.
Here are some photos of the work as it was done. Please be aware that
there is an error in the pattern. Check the errata before you start cutting.

Fruit Quilt "Simply Delicious"
This one will be in progress for a long time. I have actually completed
more than is shown here, but it is slow going because I am sewing all
the appliques by hand and this is not my only project!

Crazy Pineapple
Here is another work in progress. The blocks are paper pieced. I have
finished all the blocks and need to put them together and quilt them.
