"Balance"

I don't spend much time cross-stitching, but here is a design I have been working on for the last year. It is from a book full of beautiful asian patterns, called A Cross Stitcher's Oriental Odyssey by Joan Elliott.
Update: as of July 2004 it is finished and waiting for a frame!

This is a hand-braided rug. I am making it out of medium to heavy suitweight wool fabric. Wool fabric is hard to come by here, so I'm using whatever I can get. So far it is turning out all right. The cats love it!
