My name is Julie, and I've been a knitter since I was 11 years old. I love all the forms of fiber-related handwork, particularly dyeing, knitting, and weaving and sewing.

Whiskers, Tom, and Hannah are our "crazy cats".

Whiskers loves dog food, comfortable resting spots, and chewing up cardboard boxes. Her favorite sleeping places are the ironing board and the closet, and her favorite exit is a window! If you offer her the door, she has to smell and check both ways at least ten times before she feels it is okay to go out. It's easier to just open the window.

She was washing her paws when I took this picture, but stopped for a second to say "What's up?"

Tom is the youngest and loves to tag along with his big sister Whiskers. He is an accomplished dog-wrestler, and loves to play with anyone who can take a little nipping and scratching. He is a very lovey cat though, and is fun to cuddle with when he's in a quiet mood. He is unbelievably patient with kids. He'll purr and look content no matter what they do to him. His favorite sleeping place is on top of a backpack, but he decided the couch was a little lonely today and kept it company.

Hannah is a very private cat and likes to be in charge of every situation. If she can't be in charge, she leaves. Her hobbies are chasing dogs and pretending she is an elusive panther of the jungle. She is a slightly reformed barn cat and prefers to stay outside. In fact, I think she belongs to several families in the area. She declines to have her picture taken.
